Allergic Bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis can be triggered by long-term exposure to environmental irritants such as tobacco smoke, dust, or chemicals. Allergic bronchitis is an increasing problem among children, and its seen that more and more children are getting equipped with an inhaler for such troubles. Homeopathy can be of great help in treating allergic disorders. It can be of help during attack and also help in reducing the tendency to attacks of allergic bronchitis. Constitutional treatment by a qualified homeopath is essential for a complete cure, and this takes time. Consider the following remedies for mild acute arracks only. For reducing the tendency to these attacks you must consult a registered homeopathic practitioner. Reducing tendency to respiratory infections is very much possible by homeopathy and this can lead to a better health condition for the child as well as parents as parents would be much happier seeing their child fall ill less often.
You can try following remedies for acute attacks, but preferably seek advise of a homeopathic doctor as each patient might need a different remedy.
Arsenicum :
The attacks tend to occur between midnight and 3am and force the patient to sit up to catch his breath. The patient is very restless and anxious, and feels better walking around, even though he/she is weak and feels very cold.
Bryonia:
Dry hacking cough with irritation in throat. Hoarseness in throat. Difficult respiration , aggravated slightest walk or exertion.
Chamomilla :
The child or patient is extremely irritable; anger may even have brought on the attack. This remedy is especially helpful in treating irritable, asthmatic children.
Ipecac :
Chest feels full of phlegm. This provokes spasms of coughing, leading to nausea and vomiting. Fresh air helps.
Pulsatilla :
Cough with yellow green expectoration and mucous from chest. Patient needs cool, fresh air; hot, stuffy rooms make you feel terrible. suitable for people who are affectionate, dependent person and possibly hysterical during the attack.
Natrum sulph :
This is an important remedy if attacks are brought on by damp or wet weather. The attacks occur very early in the morning and can also follow colds or exertion.
